Adventist Education

Adventist education has a rich history that began with the founding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the mid-19th century, highlighted by the establishment of the first Adventist school in 1853. Today, this global network includes over 8,500 schools serving more than 1.5 million students in over 100 countries. In the North American Division, we emphasize “whole person” education, integrating faith with academic rigor to nurture not just intellect but also physical health and spiritual growth. Our dedicated educators support over 55,000 students across nearly 1,000 K–12 schools and 15 colleges and universities.

Our Adventist schools consistently achieve higher academic scores than national averages, with many graduates attending prestigious universities. We foster a supportive environment that encourages critical thinking and active community engagement. Through various extracurricular activities and service projects, students learn the importance of empathy and social responsibility, equipping them with essential skills for success in their personal and professional lives. This commitment to holistic education reflects our dedication to developing well-rounded individuals prepared to make a positive impact in the world.
